CCA Scholarships

The mission of Celtic Cultural Alliance is to promote and preserve the Celtic culture through education workshops, musical presentations and traditional competitions in athletics, piping and dance. In support of this mission, each year scholarships are awarded in several areas.

In 2014, the Celtic Cultural Alliance will award more than $4000.00 in scholarships in the following areas:

  • Celtic Dance 8 – 12  years of age
  • Celtic Dance 13 – 18  years of age
  • Celtic Music 8 – 12 years of age
  • Celtic Music 13 – 18 years of age

Each of the scholarship awards will be presented at the 2014 Celtic Classic.

2014 Celtic Cultural Alliance Celtic Dance Scholarship Program

  1. The scholarship opportunity is for students aged 8 to 18 at the time of the application.
  2. Scholarships will be awarded to further Celtic dance study.  Categories are in two age brackets; 8 to 12 years old, and 13 to 18 years old.
  3. All applicants must be enrolled in a dance school program or organization and have the contact information of the instructor on the form as we will be reviewing the instructor’s portion of the application.
  4. The application form and essay must be completed, signed and returned to the Celtic Cultural Alliance at the above address by July 15, 2014.
  5. The Celtic Cultural Alliance Board of Directors will serve as the selection committee to choose the scholarship winners.
  6. The selection of the recipient will not be based on financial need but on commitment to the art of Celtic dance and the desire to continue their study.
  7. Family members of employees or Board members of Celtic Cultural Alliance are ineligible to apply for or receive scholarships.
  8. The recipient of this scholarship may be asked to provide a performance at future Celtic Cultural Alliance events.

Applications must be received by July 15,, 2014 to be considered for the scholarship.

Scholarship winners will be notified in September with the award to be presented at the 2014 Celtic Classic to be held September 26 to 28, 2014.
