Introducing the CCA Celtic Reading group for 2019! This year's theme is: "In Search of the Celtic Arthur." The book we will read from will be Arthur, King of Britain: History, Romance, Chronicle & Criticism, ed. by Richard L. Bringle. (ISBN-13: 978-0130492708). The romanticized version of King Arthur is widely known; our effort will be to go behind or before the creation of that image to Arthur’s roots in ancient Welsh tales.
Meeting upstairs at the Braveheart Pub, the Celtic reading group will enjoy delving deeper into their reading in a fun, social atmosphere. Attendees can purchase items at the pub and bring them upstairs to enjoy as the literature is discussed.

Facilitator Joel Wingard is a retired professor of English from Moravian College, where he taught British and Irish literature. He has traveled to Ireland many times, attending the W.B. Yeats International Summer School in Sligo in 1990, and leading study tours to Ireland in 1995 and 1999.

Although there is no fee to participate in the group, your registration is your commitment to attend as a limited number of spaces are available and we anticipate a wait list due to a high demand.   For further information, please contact Marcie Mulligan at mmulligan@celticfest.org.
