CCA Scholarships
The CCA is proud to announce the 2011 Scholarship applications are now available. Two $500 scholarships in Celtic Music and two $500 scholarships in Celtic Dance will be awarded this year to students between 8-18 years old. Scholarships are awarded to those who demonstrate commitment to the art form.
2011 Celtic Cultural Alliance Celtic Dance and Music Scholarship Program
- The scholarship opportunity is for students aged 8 to 18 at the time of the application.
- There will be two scholarships awarded for Celtic dance. One will be for the 8 to 12 year old age bracket and the other for ages 13 to 18. Each will be in the amount of $500.00 and is to be used to further their Celtic dance study.
- All applicants must be enrolled in a dance school program or organization and have the contact information of the instructor on the form as we will be contacting the instructors.
- The application form (completed by teacher) and essay (completed by applicant) must be signed and returned to the Celtic Cultural Alliance at the above address by July 15, 2011. Dance Application | Music Application
- The Celtic Cultural Alliance Board Scholarship Committee will judge the essay contest.
- The selection of the recipients will not be based on financial need but on commitment to the art of Celtic dance and the desire to continue their study.
- Family members of employees or Board members of Celtic Cultural Alliance are ineligible to apply for or receive scholarships.
- The recipient of this scholarship may be asked to provide a short performance at a future Celtic Cultural Alliance event.
Applications must be received by July 15, 2011 to be considered for the scholarship. All materials can be faxed (610-868-9730) or mailed (532 Main St., Bethlehem, PA 18018) to the CCA office.
Scholarship winners will be notified in September with the award to be presented at the 2011 Celtic Classic to be held September 23rd through the 25th.
